KiwiSDR Audio Mode Selection Buttons

KiwiSDR audio modes

Audio mode selections are made using the row of buttons on the Control Panel. For instance, in the image above the green text for the LSB button indicates that the Lower Side Band receive mode is selected.

AM
Amplitude Modulation

SAM
Synchronous Amplitude Modulation

DRM
Digital Radio Mondiale

LSB
Lower Sideband
Sets the receive BW for Lower Sideband. Single-Sideband Information

USB
Upper Sideband
Sets the receive BW for Upper Sideband. Single-Sideband Information

CW
CW (for Morse Code)
Sets the receive BW for continuous wave reception. Note: there is a CW to text decoder extension available in the extensions menu.
NBFM
Narrowband Frequency Modulation
Pretty much only used on 10 meters above 29MHz. FM modulation is generally not used on the amateur HF bands because of it's wider bandwidth.
IQ
IQ Data Forwarding
IQ Data is routed to the browser's stereo audio data stream. It allows a virtual audio cable (VAC) program to then route the data to another program.
