The ADALM-Pluto by Analog Devices is a flexible SDR that can operate at much higher frequencies than the RTL-SDR and similar devices. It has both receive and transmit capability. Transmit is not currently enabled on the STEMLab's ADALM-Pluto device.

The Pluto is dubbed by Analog Devices an "Active Learning Module", hence the "ADALM". It is meant to be learning tool for students so there are a lot available of materials related to it. These include manuals, labs and on-line tutorials covering a wide range of topics.

  • Lowest frequency: 325 MHz
  • Highest frequency: 3.8 GHz
  • Max receive bandwidth: up to 20 MHz
  • Transmit and Receive capable
  • Price: in the $300 range
